We are pleased to welcome you to the second GGGI and EuroCham forum on Green Energy Financing: Challenges and Opportunities.
Join us on the 22nd of November at the Oakwood Premier Phnom Penh to learn from the leading voices in the sector.
EuroCham, with the support of GGGI, are proud to launch a two-forum series tackling green financing models. This forum is held under the Energy Service Company (ESCO) Business Ecosystem Strengthening Project, a collaboration project between GGGI and EuroCham and an extension of the GGGI Switch-Garment Project.
The fundamental goal of the two forums is to foster connections between green business stakeholders and to build networks that can advocate for pertinent Energy Service Company (ESCO) /green financing issues to the government. The first forum was held on 30th September, on the topic of "Towards an ESCO Association in Cambodia".
We're pleased to present to you today, the second forum, which will tackle "Green Energy Financing: Challenges and Opportunities". The objective of the second forum is to raise awareness of green financing options available in Cambodia.
In the first session, we will first hear about Sustainable Finance Principles from the representative of the Association of Banks in Cambodia. Then, we will listen to a presentation on Catalysing Green Finance by ADB. After that, we will hear about the use of Green/Thematic Bond for Sustainable Financing by UNDP.
In the second session, we will listen to a Case Study of Vietnam's First Green Bond by GGGI Vietnam. After that, there will be a presentation on Green Investments Certification by Bureau Veritas. Thereafter, we will hear about Green Financing Options, specifically touching on ESCO Business Model. The second session will also include a Panel Discussion on the topic of 'Green Energy Financing: Challenges and Opportunities' with relevant experts in the green finance fields.
Finally, in the third session, we will focus more on the practicality of financing EE projects in Cambodia. The first presentation in this final session will be about the Potential for EE in Garment Factories. We will also hear a presentation on a Sustainable Supply Chain in Garment Factories, finalised by a Case Study about Rooftop Solar Loan Products.
