Dear members, partners and friends of EuroCham Cambodia,

Firstly, I’d like to warmly thank our ANNUAL PARTNERS! From 2021, we have our Platinum Partners BRED BANK CAMBODIADFDL and THALIAS HOSPITALITY GROUP; our Gold Partners SMART AXIATA CO., LTDSOFITEL PHNOM PENH PHOKEETHRATOTAL CAMBODGE,  STAR AUTO (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD - MERCEDES-BENZ GLUE UP and HOPS GARDEN CO., LTD; our Bronze Partners AGS CAMBODIA and SOMA GROUP.

We are extremely grateful to all of you for the ongoing trust and support!

During the past few weeks, we’ve had the pleasure to resume our public, advocacy-related events, including two breakfast talks on renewable energy and labour compliance, a stakeholder dialogue workshop on consumer protection with GIZ and, most recently, a comprehensive workshop on Monday the 8th of February on Cambodian free trade agreements (FTAs). More events are expected in the coming weeks, in particular our key forum on Tall buildings.

Moreover, on the 10th of February, the Toast to 2021 networking event was our occasion to celebrate the start of the year together. Despite challenges in 2020, most of you are planning to expand your business this year, as the economy picks up again. For many of you, the past year was a chance to pause, rethink and refine your activities.

These findings come from the 2021 Business Confidence Survey - in the time of Co-vid 19 - which will be released soon and was developed thanks to the 111 responses received from you last December.

Another insightful publication - the new edition of the Business Opportunity Guide - will also soon be available to help European business expand in Cambodia.

According to the findings from the 2021 Business Confidence Survey, the pandemic has pushed many of you to focus on marketing and communication as well as on strengthening human resources. To accompany you on this journey, more tailored training sessions are going to take place every month.

We are also pleased to announce that the legal library of EuroCham’s advocacy team, Legal-e, is now exclusively accessible by all EuroCham members. Through Legal-e, EuroCham wants to promote a better knowledge of Cambodia’s legal framework amongst its members. We believe that, by having transparent access to Cambodia’s legislation and regulatory framework, our business membership will be more resilient and better able to do business in Cambodia in compliance with the law. Legal-e will be a tool in continuous development, designed in accordance to the vision of sharing knowledge among our community.

The 2021 CSR Contest and Awards, launched last Wednesday under the high patronage of HE Mr. Sok Chenda, will include interesting new features. It will be open to all companies - including those that aren’t part of EuroCham Cambodia – as well as community and youth-led activities. Our wish is to see many of you compete for this second edition! Please don’t forget to submit your application before the 31st of March.

Finally, 2021 marks the 10-year anniversary of EuroCham Cambodia. We count on you, on your renewed engagement (for instance, through our various sectoral committees), and on your support to keep improving this organisation, hoping we can fully contribute as a chamber to the expansion of the European business community during this post-covid economic recovery.

Yours faithfully,
