I am very pleased once again to reach out to all of you through this newsletter as a new working year starts.
Other online events and series are being launched, as part of our ongoing SME Export Talk and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Facilitation meetings. For instance, with the support of our Sectoral Committees, we are going to launch an “Insiders” online luncheon, giving the floor to our counterparts from the main line ministries.
To better interact with each of you and ultimately better serve you, we have arranged an online Open Office Day, on 10th September. Our team is also preparing our next, likely digital, Annual General Meeting.
The last twelve months have been a year of adaptation to pursue our mission, despite the constraints imposed by fully migrating online: I’m talking, for instance, about our e-library, e-books, e-training, e-open office, e-online advocacy’s consultations and meetings, e-summer courses series, e-workshops…
Adjustments have been made to contribute to the sustainability of EuroCham, as a platform for its members and national chapters. We enjoy a great level of trust and engagement from our members, chapters, annual and event sponsors, and partners. Many thanks to all of them for partaking and actively contributing to the pursuit of EuroCham’s journey in promoting European business community values and interests, ranging from fair competition, standards, legal compliance and transparency to environmental and social responsibilities and policy promotion. |

| Webinar on Logistics Providers for Export |
| On 14 September at 10:00AM, EuroCham Cambodia will partner once more with ARISE+ Cambodia for our third SME Export Talk - this time focusing on "Logistics Providers for Export". This Webinar aims to familiarise companies with key features to look out for when selecting a logistics provider, and when beginning to export.
With experts from the field of export logistics, we will discuss how to choose a freight forwarder suitable to your product, the challenges an SME may face, and tips to streamline the export process.The discussion will provide both an academic overview of the topic, as well as real-world examples of firms exporting using third-party logistics (3PL) providers. | Training Course on Transformational Coaching for Leaders |
| EuroCham is hosting a 2-day online training course on Transformational Coaching for Leaders on 29 & 30 September 2021 from 9:00 AM till 4:00 PM via Zoom.
The purpose of the course is to equip leaders with the mindset and skill set of coaching. Focusing on experiential learning, participants will have the opportunity to practice and receive feedback on their newly acquired coaching skills.
By the end of the course, you will have a clear idea about what coaching is, how coaching could fit into your life and role, and how it can help to transform your performance and that of your organisation. You will know how to have powerful coaching conversations with your team on any topic using skills based on scientific and practical research.

| EuroCham Meeting with the Founding Chambers and National Chapters |
| On 2nd September 2021 at Topaz Restaurant, EuroCham engaged in an extensive and fruitful dialogue with its Founding Chambers and National Chapters, regarding the current and future developments of the organisation.
Together with CCI France Cambodge (CCIFC), German Business in Cambodia (GBC, previously ADW), BritCham and our national chapters NordCham Cambodia, Italian-Cambodian Business Association (ICBA) and Benelux Cambodia, we stand ready for further engagement and innovative joint initiatives to promote European business and cultural relations in Cambodia. We are also working to streamline our communication in support of the initiatives promoted by our chapters.

| Official Launch of the Online Business Registration System on Information and Technology Platform (OBR) Phase 2 |
| On 1st September 2021, Cambodia officially launched the Online Business Registration System on Information and Technology Platform (OBR) Phase 2. EuroCham's chairman Mr. Tassilo Brinzer and our team attended this morning’s exciting online launch ceremony, presided over by H.E. Dr. AUN Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance.
The OBR Phase 2 now expands the scope of the system through the collective efforts of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Real Estate Business & Pawnshop Regulator of the Non-Banking Financial Services Authority. Users can now apply for specialized licenses online and pay online as well. |

| Webinar on Transfer Pricing and Double Tax Agreements |
| On 7 September 2021, EuroCham hosted the 3rd session of its five Tax Tuesdays, welcoming over 160 attendees to discuss “Transfer Pricing and Double Tax Agreements”.
On the first topic, our expert speakers provided our attendees with an insightful overview of Cambodia’s Transfer Pricing Regulations which include the arm’s lengthen principle, five TP methodologies endorsed by Prakas 986 and the OECD’s guidance on financial transactions. Next on the second topic, our speakers addressed the importance of Double Tax Agreements in reducing withholding taxes, identifying the thresholds for activities to create a taxable presence, providing a framework for resolving disputes & arbitration, a mechanism for exchange of information between authorities and explained the MAP (Mutual Agreement Procedures) in resolving international tax disputes and common cases. |

| Training Course on Financial Analysis Fundamentals |
| EuroCham successfully hosted its first 2-day online “Financial Analysis Fundamentals” training on 26 & 27 August 2021.
In the 2 day course, participants were able to generate key financial ratios, and then use them to analyse the efficiency of their organisations. Exercises included assessing organisation insolvency risk, production efficiency, profitability, and gearing (debt). The course also provided tools to assess potential investments, such as the Internal Rate of Return (IRR).

| Webinar on The Road to Energy Efficiency |
| On 13 August 2021, EuroCham - in collaboration with the Cambodia Energy Efficiency Competition (CEE Comp) - had the pleasure to host a webinar on “The Road to Energy Efficiency”, welcoming over 80 live attendees.
In this webinar, our expert panelists shared with our audiences the energy efficiency in Cambodia at the time of COVID-19, success stories of energy efficiency from Cambodia and France, and a guide on energy-saving tips for their offices and residence.
