The outstanding man of substance and intellect, who has made significant strides in expanding access to healthcare and who builds on development and ease for the citizens of Morocco, honorable Khalid Ait Taleb has been warmly selected as the Public Sector Global “Minister of the Week” for the month of February 2024. The Minister has taken it as a crucial part of his responsibility to extend social and health coverage, which has become his ministry's broader commitment, to ensure that every Moroccan has access to necessary healthcare, regardless of their economic status. Hon Khalid is a medical professor and politician who has contributed and created a niche in all capacities and his previous offices. Following his outstanding contributions and laudable achievements to the health sector, he has become our celebrated Minister of the Week. In his recent laudable feat, the minister is in close partnership with organisations and also the World Health Organisation with their core focus of enabling the health sector to be open and affordable for all, “HealthforAll”. The Morocco–WHO cooperation strategy focuses on four priority areas: strengthening the national health system in its efforts to achieve universal health coverage; strengthening the resilience of the national health system; strengthening governance in the process of redesigning the national health system; and promoting the health and well-being of the population and health equity by addressing social and environmental determinants and consolidating a multisectoral approach. #publichealth #governmentinmorocco #moroccotravel #governmentaffairs

After sliding by 1.6% a year earlier, domestic demand in Morocco bounced back at the end of 2023, growing by 8.1%, according to data from the High Commission for Planning (HCP).   Domestic demand reflects the sum of expenditures from households, investors, and the government. Robust domestic demand is pivotal for economic growth as it drives business revenue, employment, investment, and government revenue. The HCP report indicates that the positive momentum in domestic demand contributed 9.4 points to national economic growth.

While Arab Health Exhibition in Dubai was happening, the meetings for the Portuguese Health Care Mission/Delegation, were running in parallel. Organised by the aicep Portugal Global | United Arab Emirates, and under a scheduled program contemplating various meetings and official visits, the Portuguese representatives had the fantastic opportunity to show and elaborate on their offers and latest developments, seeking not only commercial opportunities, but also investment sources for their research and innovations.
