Alcohol sales banned in Phnom Penh for another 2 weeks

The Phnom Penh Capital Administration has suspended the sale of all kinds of alcohol for another two weeks in Phnom Penh.

In order to control the spread of COVID-19 due to the community event of February 20, the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration has decided to continue with the following guidelines:

* First: All markets, beverage distribution depots and food and beverage businesses of all kinds must continue to temporarily suspend the sale of all kinds of alcohol in Phnom Penh for another 2 (2) weeks from May 9. 2021 until May 22, 2021.

* Second , any person who continues to sell, distribute and circulate any kind of alcohol during the period of this prohibition shall be punished as stipulated in the Law on Measures to Prevent the spread of Kovid-19 and malignant diseases and Other serious accidents and related legal documents in force.

* Third: The 14 Khan administrations and the Department of Commerce of Phnom Penh must cooperate in inspecting the target markets, beverage distribution depots and food and beverage businesses of all kinds to comply with the contents of this instruction. In case it is found that the market management, depot owner or business owner refuses to cooperate or mine in accordance with this instruction, administrative and legal measures shall be implemented
without exception.
