As the Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, His Excellency Vongsey Vissoth advises, assists, and reports to the Premier on strategic issues.
HE Vissoth has a long track record of implementing effective policies aimed at bringing about positive changes and development in Cambodia.
Since joining the public sector in 1995, he's used his considerable skillset to influence policy and found progressive institutions such as the Skill Development Fund, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, and Khmer Enterprise (where he serves as Chairman).
Among his other achievements, HE Vissoth led the taskforce responsible for the cash handout programme to assist vulnerable families during the pandemic, and has formulated policies such as the Public-Private Partnership Policy and the Budget System Reform Strategy. He also served as the chairman of the COVID-19 vaccine procurement taskforce.
